The Hangee V are one of the longest running Surf-Garage combo coming from Sardinia, formed in 2003. These hairy cavemen (and beautiful cave girl on drums) have mastered thee perfect mix of reverb-drenched Instro Surf meets Garage Punk you might have heard on vintage compilations like Strumming’ Mental, Garage Punk Unknowns and clearly Back From The Grave, with a light hint to Western, Lounge, Sixties Pop adding even more colour to it.
“Altough they’ve been playing together for many years, The Hangee V maintain their wild attitude and rough approach mixed with technical expertise acquired through years of experience with tons of gigs under their belt”
“Underwater Serenades is a brave record with an extremely ‘modern soul’ with an intact vintage approach”
The attitude and the songwriting is brilliant than ever and they deliver their blast from the past like it’s 1966 again. This is their third and, we dare to say, best album to date.
For fans of The Sardinian Surf-Garage Scene (Uninvited, Rippers etc…) and/or The Unclaimed/Attila And The Huns fear no more, there’s a new album out, straight outta the grave!
